CHERRY HILL, N.J. - The Boston University women's openweight rowing team opened its 2019 spring season competing at the Doc Hosea Invite on Saturday.

The Terriers sent out four boats on the day and competed against 11 other crews from Cornell, Dartmouth, Northeastern, Penn, Rutgers, Syracuse, Indiana, URI, UMass, Minnesota and Navy. The varsity eight boat finished fourth in the petite final with a time of 6:56.87, ahead of crews from Temple (7:00.24) and UMass (7:02.62).

ABOUT DOC HOSEA
The Doc Hosea Invitational honors longtime Rutgers team orthopedist Dr. Timothy Hosea, who passed away suddenly in Aug. 2015. Dr. Hosea, who worked with the Rutgers Athletics for over 30 years, was a prominent figure in the rowing community, serving as team physician for the USRowing national team.
