BOSTON – Riding a nine-game win streak, the Boston University softball team will wrap up the home slate with a Patriot League weekend series against Army West Point. The teams will open on Saturday at 12 p.m. in a doubleheader and then conclude the matchup Sunday at 12 p.m.

TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU is currently atop the PL standings at 11-1 with six total games remaining against the Black Knights (8-7 PL) and current No. 2 Bucknell (13-2 PL) after earning a sweep at Lafayette last weekend.
- The Terriers run-ruled Dartmouth, 9-1(6), on Thursday afternoon to improve to a perfect 12-0 at home this season with senior Madi Killebrew and freshman Aliyah Huerta-Leipner batting a combined 5-of-5 with six runs scored and five RBIs... They are 6-0 in conference play with series sweeps against Holy Cross and Colgate.
- The Terriers are batting .259 with a 75-59 advantage in extra-base hits while holding opponents to .221.
- The reigning PL and Rookie of the Week Huerta-Leipner is hitting .286 with a team-high 34 runs scored and nine doubles while adding 25 RBIs.
- Morrow is batting a team-high .309 with 22 RBIs, while Heinen (.302) owns eight homers and 32 runs scored.
- Ponce (.269) and Killebrew (.244) have combined for 13 doubles to help the offense.
- Sophomore Ali DuBois (20-8, 1.30 ERA) ranks No. 6 all-time at BU in wins (48) and strikeouts (362) following Thursday's five-inning performance and is holding opponents to .205.
- Reigning PL Pitcher of the Week and freshman Emily Gant (8-7, 1.58 ERA) has tallied 129 strikeouts in 110.2 innings.
SCOUTING ARMY WEST POINT
- The Black Knights are 7-3 in the last 10 games following Wednesday's doubleheader sweep over Rider (9-1, 6-4).
- Army is 8-7 in conference play with series wins over Holy Cross, Lafayette, Lehigh and Bucknell ... The Black Knights were swept at home by Colgate by a combined four runs but bounced back by handing the Bison their first two conference losses of the season.
- Army is batting .271 with a 63-54 advantage in doubles while holding opponents to .256.
- Grace Mattimore leads the Black Knights at .339 with five homers and 20 RBIs, while both Ashley Yoo (.310, 24 runs) and Emily Ballesteros (.302) are hitting over .300 ... Taylor Drayton owns a team-high six homers and 28 runs scored.
- The Black Knights have had four pitchers earn at least seven starts – Macey Newbary (9-6, 2.21 ERA), Jolie Duong (11-9, 3.13 ERA), Renee Poirier (5-5, 3.32 ERA) and Drayton (0-5, 4.20 ERA) ... Duong owns 93 strikeouts in 136.1 innings.
SERIES HISTORY
- The Terriers own a 12-10 all-time advantage in a series dating back to 1990 and have won nine of the last 10 meetings.
- Last year, BU opened the PL tournament at home with an 8-0(5) run-rule victory over the Black Knights en route to the program's third title in five years.
- During last season's weekend series trip to West Point, DuBois pitched an eight-inning no-hitter (3-0) and earned a two-hit game-three shutout (7-0) ... In game two, the Black Knights managed two runs against DuBois in 1.2 innings and pulled out a 3-2 victory.
