TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU is coming off a 2-0 defeat at Colorado on Sunday to finish its opening weekend 0-1-1.
- The Terriers had not lost a game in regulation in 346 days prior to Sunday, and saw its 10-game unbeaten streak carried over from last season snapped.
- Amanda Fay matched her career high with six saves against the Buffs in the first half en route to finishing with eight for the match.
- Morgan Messner was also impressive in net in the opener against Denver, recording her eighth career shutout.
- Lily Perryman, who played a total of 211 minutes last season, currently leads the team with 171 minutes and was the only field player to log all 110 minutes against Denver.
- BU has displayed its depth as 25 of its 28 players available saw the field over the first two games.
- Kayla Ross was the lone freshman to start in each game.
- Caitlyn DiSarcina and McKenna Kennedy lead the team with three shots apiece.
- Boston College is 2-0 to start the season, edging UMass 2-1 in its opener before pounding UMass Lowell, 4-1, on Sunday.
- The Eagles got off to a hot start last year, going a program-best 10-0-0 to earn an at-large bid in the NCAA Tournament.
- Freshman Sam Smith netted the game-winning goal in each contest.
- Olivia Vaughn scored twice against the River Hawks and leads the Eagles with six points.
- In net, Maddie Murphy and Allie Auger have split time, with Auger earning the starting nod in the opener.
- Jason Lowe is in his first season as head coach of the Eagles after spending the previous five years at Wake Forest.
- BC leads the all-time series 18-5-1 and has taken the last four matchups.
- Three of BU's five wins in the series have been decided in overtime.
- The Terriers will take Nickerson Field for its home opener, hosting Michigan State in the closing match of the 13th-annual Terrier Tailgate.
- Opening kick against the Spartans is set for 7 p.m.
