Terriers Compete at Multi-Team Meet

BOSTON – The Boston University men's and women's track & field teams continued their 2019-20 indoor season on Saturday, hosting the Multi-Team Meet at the Track and Tennis Center against UMass Lowell, BC, Harvard, Northeastern, Providence and Sacred Heart.

The Terriers had several strong performances on the day. On the women's side, the 4x400m relay team of Leah Fowlkes, Emma Montoya, Noelani Phillips and Jaiden Ritter finished first with a very fast time of 3:48.51. Junior Greer Liguori finished second in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9:06, a new personal best.
 
For the men, Chiebuka Onwuzurike finished third in the 60m dash with a time of 7:00 and second in the 300m dash with a time of 33.90.

 Notable Performances - Men
  • Senior Chiebuka Onwuzurike finished third in the 60m dash with a time of 7:00 and second in the 300m dash with a time of 33.90.
  • Senior Paul Luevano competed in the 800m run and finished fourth with a time of 1:53.60.
  • Sophomore Ebruba Etta took fourth in the 60m dash with a time of 7:05. 
  • Senior Jamin Harris took second in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.50. In the same event, sophomore Jack Reynolds finished fifth with a time of 8.70. 
  • Freshman John O'Connor competed in the mile run and finished 20th in a field of 36 with a time of 4:23.88. 
  • Junior Robert Saligman finished fourth in the pole vault with a vault of 4.50m (14'9"). 
  • In the field, senior Clint Lockwood finished third in the shot put competition with a throw of 14.17m (46'6"). 
Notable Performances - Women
  • The 4x400m relay team of Leah Fowlkes, Emma Montoya, Noelani Phillips and Jaiden Ritter had a terrific performance, finishing first with a very fast time of 3:48.51.
  • Junior Greer Liguori finished second in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9:06, a new personal best.
  • Junior Emma Montoya took third in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9:19. 
  • Junior Bridget Chiaravalle finished fourth in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.27.
  • Leah Fowlkes finished second in the 500m with a time of 1:12.91 in a field of nine. Her time is the fastest in the PL this season. 
  • Freshman Delia Barbanti finished fifth in the 200m dash with a time of 26.02. 
  • Sophomore  Alicia Thomas competed in the 60m dash and finished seventh with a time of 8:02.
