BOSTON – Looking for its first Patriot League sweep of the season, the Boston University men's basketball team will host Loyola Maryland on Wednesday night with the NESNplus broadcast set to begin at 7 p.m.

The Terriers are coming off a 79-64 win at Holy Cross, while the Greyhounds are looking to bounce back from a 98-83 defeat at Bucknell. BU won the first matchup between the two teams, 85-53, back on Jan. 13 for the program's largest margin of victory in a road Patriot League game.

TERRIER TIDBITS
  • BU is 6-2 at home this season and 3-1 in conference play following last Wednesday's 60-58 overtime defeat to Navy.
  • Senior Max Mahoney leads BU at 14.7 ppg and 7.4 rpg for the season while averaging 3.8 apg in PL games.
  • Sophomore Walter Whyte claimed his second double-double of the season this past Saturday and remains in second in points (12.9 ppg) and rebounds (7.1 rpg) though is averaging a team-high 8.8 rpg in conference play.
  • Junior Javante McCoy remains the third Terrier averaging double figures at 10.5 ppg while leading BU at 3.4 apg.

SCOUTING LOYOLA MARYLAND
  • The Greyhounds are 3-9 on the road with five straight losses following a 64-48 win at Mount St. Mary's on Dec. 7 ... Fell at Army by one and at Lehigh by seven with earlier wins at Chicago St. (98-85) and Delaware State (84-6).
  • After opening PL play with a home win against Holy Cross (80-70), the Greyhounds have dropped seven straight, including a 93-91 overtime decision to American.
  • Missing the Lafayette game due to injury, Andrew Kostecka leads the Patriot League at 21.4 ppg with 5.2 rpg, 2.6 apg and 2.1 spg.
  • Cam Spencer (9.9 ppg), Isaiah Hart (8.8 ppg) and KaVaughn Scott (8.4 ppg) are the three closest Greyhounds to averaging double figures, while Golden Dike (7.0 ppg) averages a team-high 5.3 rpg.
