Jones to Participate in Coaches vs. Cancer Panel Discussion

November 4, 2020

BOSTON – Boston University men's basketball head coach Joe Jones will participate in a Coaches vs. Cancer panel featuring all eight NCAA Division I men's basketball coaches with the virtual event slated for Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m.

National college basketball pundit Jeff Goodman will serve as moderator for the discussion on Zoom about college hoops featuring Jones, Boston College's Jim Christian, Harvard's Tommy Amaker, Holy Cross' Brett Nelson, UMass' Matt McCall, Merrimack's Joe Gallo, Northeastern's Bill Coen and UMass Lowell's Pat Duquette.

This past season, Jones led the Terriers (21-13) to the program's first-ever road conference title with a 64-61 win at top-seed Colgate. BU posted its best home record (12-3) since 2010-11 (12-2) and earned the program's first win against the SEC back in November at South Carolina, 78-70. For his efforts, he became a three-time finalist for the Ben Jobe National Coach of the Year Award (top NCAA Division I minority coach) and also received HoopsHD.com's Patriot League Coach of the Year honors.
