BOSTON – Riding a season-high five-game win streak, the Boston University men's basketball team will host defending Patriot League champion Colgate on Monday night with the CBS Sports Network broadcast set to begin at 7 p.m.
The Terriers are coming off a 77-68 victory over in-state rival Holy Cross and will try to claim a share of first place in the PL standings against the Raiders, who held off Navy (67-60) on Saturday afternoon.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU is now 8-2 at home this season, including 5-1 in conference play, with six double-digit victories and losses to Navy (60-58 OT) and Northeastern (72-67).
- With 17 points (and seven rebounds) against the Crusaders, senior Max Mahoney (15.4 ppg, 7.6 rpg) moved into No. 10 all-time at BU with 1,418 career points.
- Sophomore Walter Whyte (12.5 ppg, 7.5 rpg) earned his third double-double of the season on Saturday with 11 points and 11 boards to increase his conference rebounding average to a team-high 8.3.
- Junior Javante McCoy (12.0 ppg, 3.5 apg) posted his fourth 20+ performance of the season and is averaging 15.3 ppg in league play alongside Mahoney.
- During the current win streak, BU is averaging 15.2 assists against just 9.8 turnovers while forcing 12.2 turnovers per game.

SERIES HISTORY
- The Terriers lead the all-time series, 28-23, dating back to 1933-34 following a 79-70 loss at Colgate back on Jan. 18.
- BU overcame an early 11-point deficit to the game, 38-38, in the second half and later cut a 12-point deficit to three (67-64) at 4:44.
- With Mahoney limited to just 10 minutes, sophomore Jack Hemphill stepped up with his second career double-double (12 pts., 10 rebs.) but Rayman had 21 pts. and 13 rebs. for the Raiders.
