Curry Named Hockey East Best Defensive Forward

WAKEFIELD, Mass. - Senior captain Patrick Curry of the Boston University men's ice hockey team has been named the Hockey East Gladiator Custom Mouthguards Best Defensive Forward for the 2019-20 season, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.
Curry played a huge role in all situations for this year's team and led the Terriers in goals (19), shots (111) and game-winning goals (4) while ranking second in plus-minus (+10) and third in power-play goals (5). He finishes his BU career with 79 points on 39 goals and 40 assists in 141 contests.
Curry is the sixth Terrier to claim this honor in the 24-year history of the award and the first since Chris Connolly eight years ago (2011-12). Other BU standouts who have received the award are Brad Zancanaro (2005-06), Mark Mullen (2002-03), Mike Pandolfo (2001-02) and Chris Drury (1997-98). All six were captains at BU.
