BU (2-3-0) will be taking the ice for the first time since the Terriers hosted Maine for a weekend series on Jan. 23 and 24. They split that two-game set, earning a 1-0 victory in the first tilt before putting 37 shots on goal in a 2-0 defeat the next day. Senior co-captain
Nara Elia scored the Terriers' lone goal in the win, with senior
Corinne Schroeder stopping all 20 shots she faced to earn her seventh career shutout.
Eight different Terriers have tallied at least two points this season, with junior
Courtney Correia leading the way thanks to four assists. Defensively, the Terriers have allowed just two goals over the last seven periods of play, buoyed by Schroeder's 1.88 goals-against average and .918 save percentage over her last two starts.
Merrimack enters Friday having lost 10 straight games, including a pair of shutout losses to Northeastern last weekend. The Warriors have not scored a goal in four consecutive contests and in five of their last six games. Their scoreless stretch has spanned the last 254:33 of play.
Senior Megan Fergusson and sophomore Katie Kaufman each lead the Warriors with four points and, along with senior Dominika Lásková, are tops on the team with two goals apiece. Seven different Merrimack skaters have chipped in two assists. Sophomore goaltender Emma Gorski has started 11 of her team's 12 tilts, posting a 1-10-0 record with a .900 save percentage and a 3.75 goals-against average.
