BOSTON – In a battle of two-game win streaks, the Boston University men's basketball team will visit Lafayette on Wednesday night with start time set for 7 p.m.
The Terriers are coming off wins against Loyola Maryland (67-50) and Lehigh (80-74), while the Leopards are looking to carry momentum from victories against American (69-56) and Army West Point (68-54).
TERRIER TIDBITS
	- Graduate student Sukhmail Mathon (14.9 ppg, 10.3 rpg) collected his second Patriot League Player of the Week on Monday after posting two double-doubles. He's averaging 18.0 ppg and 11.6 rpg in conference play while shooting 57.6 percent from the field. 
- Mathon is on track to become the fourth Terrier to reach 800+ rebounds while classmate Javante McCoy (16.5 ppg, 2.9 apg) is looking to become the fifth to net 1,800+ points.
- 10 Terriers have scored in double figures this season with senior Walter Whyte (12.8 ppg), senior Jonas Harper (7.9 ppg) and senior Fletcher Tynen (5.5 ppg) all joining Mathon and McCoy in scoring 10+ points at least five times.
- BU is 12-2 this season when hitting more free throws than opponents and 11-3 when out-rebounding. The Terriers have been clutch at the charity stripe this season, shooting 81.7 FT% during the final five minutes of regulation.
- BU is 5-5 in true road games and will try to win back-to-back games for the second time this season, last accomplishing the feat at George Washington and Dartmouth in December.
- The Terriers are averaging 68.8 ppg and 43.9 FG% while holding opponents to 65.0 ppg and 44.1 FG%.
SCOUTING LAFAYETTE
	- The Leopards' 27-year head coach Fran O'Hanlon recently announced that he'll retire at the end of the season.
- Lafayette is 2-5 at home this season with a win vs. American and Gwynedd Mercy (87-66).
- Lafayette owns non-conference wins against Rutgers and Columbia.
- Four Leopards are averaging double figures in points with Neal Quinn owning a team-high 13.2 ppg and 8.1 rpg.
- The Leopards are averaging 67.7 ppg and 41.9 FG% while holding teams to 73.4 ppg and 44.6 FG%.
- Lafayette is hitting 9.5 3-pointers per game, but opponents are averaging 4.0 more free throws and 4.5 more rebounds per game.
SERIES HISTORY
	- BU is 16-8 all-time with the last five contests being decided by five points or less.
- The Terriers swept the weekend series at Lafayette last season, 81-76 and 64-61. 
- Lafayette entered last year's series averaging 10.5 made 3-pointers, but BU's defense held the Leopards to a combined 10-of-45 (.222) from behind the arc.
