BOSTON – Shooting over 54 percent for the second consecutive game, the Boston University men's basketball team rolled to a 102-66 win over Hartford on Thursday night at Case Gym.
With the help of 14 3-pointers and 18 steals, just three shy of the school record, the Terriers (3-1) reached the century mark for the second time under head coach
Joe Jones and 30th time in program history, as the Hawks fell to 1-3.

Anthony Morales went a perfect 4-of-4 from behind the arc and 7-of-8 overall en route to a career-high 19 points, edging last year's 18-point performance in a 75-70 win at Hartford. Graduate student
Jonas Harper tabulated four 3-pointers to finish with 18, while senior
Ethan Brittain-Watts posted 10 points. Junior
Miles Brewster posted a career-high four steals to help lead the defensive effort.
For Hartford, Briggs McClain totaled 19 points as well, while Michael Dunne earned 14 with the help of four 3-pointers. Kurtis Henderson finished at 11, and Jared Kimbrough recorded eight assists.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The teams traded blows through the first nine minutes, combining for six 3-pointers with Henderson hitting one at 11:04 to cut BU's lead to 21-20.
- Junior Caelan Jones, Henderson, graduate student Walter Whyte and Dunne all flushed another in succession with the Hawks facing a 31-28 deficit at 7:17.
- Brittain-Watts followed with a layup to spark a 19-0 run capped by back-to-back layups from Brewster, at 1:45.
- Morales ended the half with BU's seventh trey to grab a commanding 55-32 halftime lead.
- Junior Daman Tate's layup following Brewster's fourth steal gave BU its first 30-point lead at 11:01 (79-49).
- Morales' fourth 3-pointer with 3:42 remaining extended the advantage to 40 points and helped BU eclipse the century mark, 101-61.
GAME NOTES
- BU's 102 points were the most scored since a 102-78 win over Maine on Nov. 19, 2016.
- BU's 55 first-half points were the most scored in a half since the Terriers totaled 55 in the second half of an 88-82 win at Lehigh during the 2018 Patriot League quarterfinals.
- The Terriers have started a season 3-0 at home in back-to-back seasons for the first time since accomplishing the feat during the 1993-94 and 1994-95 campaigns.
- Over the last two games, BU is a combined 29-of-54 (.537) from behind the arc.
- Combining for 30 points over the last two games, Morales has reached double figures two times in one season for the first time.
- Whyte, senior Nevin Zink and Brewster all had three assists apiece, as the Terriers finished with 19 total.
- The Terriers improved to 47-22 all-time against Hartford.

- The Terriers will next begin a seven-game road trip at New Hampshire on Sunday (Nov. 20) with a 1 p.m. start.
