
Thompson, Oldham Invited To NEWISA Division I Senior Bowl

NEW ENGLAND – Continuing to add to their list of accolades from the 2022 season, redshirt seniors Amy Thompson and Jenna Oldham received an invitation to the 2022 New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) Division I Senior Bowl, the organization announced on Wednesday evening.
The NEWISA Senior Bowl brings together players from NCAA Division I, II and III colleges in New England for one final game following the conclusion of their last collegiate season. NEWISA Senior Bowl eligibility is open to all players who will graduate from undergraduate studies during the 2022-2023 academic year and any graduate student playing a final season this current school year.
For Oldham, this is her second selection to the NEWISA Senior Bowl, after she was invited in 2021 during her senior year before electing to take her fifth year of eligibility. She was the leading vote-getter among defenders. Thompson was invited for the first time in her career.
Oldham continues to garner honors after a 2022 season where she racked up two goals and a team-high six assists for 10 points. The Lithia, Fla. native was also named First Team All-Patriot League and gained recognition on the United Soccer Coaches All-North Region Second Team. She finished her BU tenure with 32 points on seven goals and 18 assists.
Thompson also joined Oldham on the First Team All-Patriot League. In her second season with the Terriers, she totaled four goals and one assist. She paced the team with three game-winning goals, all of which came against league opponents. In 34 career matches at BU, Thompson registered eight goals and two assists for 18 points.
In 2022, BU tied for second in the Patriot League with 18 points with a 6-3 record, going 11-8-1 overall. The Terriers shared the league lead with six All-Patriot League selections, and were first among its counterparts with three student-athletes on the Academic All-Patriot League Team.
