TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU closed its non-conference schedule with a hard-fought 12-7 loss at No. 3 Princeton on Saturday.
- All three of the Terriers' losses have been to top-15 teams, including two top-five foes.
- Just three games remain for first-place BU prior to the conference tournament, all of which will be against the other schools in the top four of the league standings.
- The Terriers clinched a berth in the Patriot League postseason with a 17-9 win over Navy on April 2.
- Senior Timmy Ley extended his NCAA-best goal scoring streak to 33Â games with a goal as part of a two-point day against Princeton.
- Ley is two goals away from becoming the third Terrier in program history to score 100 career goals.
- Senior Vince D'Alto owns the fifth-longest goal scoring streak in the nation, having found the back of the net in 24 straight games after his two-goal effort at Princeton.
- D'Alto also pushed his point streak to 26 games in the process; he has yet to be held scoreless in his BU career.
- BU caused 12 turnovers at Princeton and continues to lead the nation in caused turnovers per game (12.55).
- The Terriers are also fifth in the NCAA and first in the Patriot League on the ride, holding opponents to a .764 clear percentage.
- Junior LSM Roy Meyer made his first collegiate start at close defense at Princeton.
- He is one caused turnover away from matching Reece Eddy's single-season program record of 34 caused turnovers.
- Meyer leads the country with 3.0 caused turnovers per game and is fifth among NCAA defenders with an average of 4.55 ground balls per game.
SERIES HISTORY
- The Terriers haven't faced Loyola since April 13, 2019, when the Terriers knocked off the then-No. 2 Greyhounds, 18-11, at Nickerson Field.
- BU last traveled to Loyola in May 2019, but it was for a Patriot League semifinal matchup against Lehigh, which BU lost, 10-9.
- The last time the Terriers and Greyhounds met in Baltimore was in a Patriot League semifinal on April 27, 2018, when top-seeded Loyola escaped with a 13-8 win.
- Both of the Terriers' wins against Loyola have been at Nickerson Field, including a 12-11 overtime win on April 15, 2017.
