Men's Basketball to End Road Trip at Colgate Wednesday Night

BOSTON – Playing its third road game in four contests, the Boston University men's basketball team will visit two-time defending Patriot League champion Colgate on Wednesday night with tip-off slated for 7 p.m.

TERRIER TIDBITS
  • BU has faced a double-digit deficit in all four Patriot League games so far, rallying from 13 down to beat Bucknell (69-61) and 10 to defeat Lafayette (73-69). The Terriers on Sunday briefly took a second-half lead at American after being down by as many as 15 before ultimately coming up just short, 76-74.
  • BU is 4-5 in true road games this season with a 1-1 mark in the PL, defeating the Bison and losing to the Eagles.
  • Graduate student Walter Whyte remains in the team lead at 15.0 ppg and 6.4 rpg after claiming his third double-double of the season at American.
  • Senior Ethan Brittain-Watts is second in scoring at 9.9 ppg with graduate student Jonas Harper close behind at 9.3 ppg. Harper is just 45 points away from becoming the 43rd Terrier to reach 1,000 points.
  • The Terriers shared one non-conference opponent with Colgate, earning a 102-66 win over Hartford. The Raiders posted a 92-58 victory against the Hawks.

  • Colgate is 3-2 at home with wins over Navy, Monmouth (85-66) and Wells (93-60) alongside losses to Vermont (73-72) and Cornell (91-80).
  • On the road, the Raiders own key victories at Syracuse (80-68) and Brown (77-68).
  • PL Preseason Player of the Year Tucker Richardson owns a team-high 15.0 ppg with 4.9 apg and 1.9 spg, while Keegan Records has a team-high 5.6 rpg alongside 12.4 ppg.
  • The Raiders rank in the top-50 nationally in eight categories, including second in FG% (.517), third in 3FG% (.413), 11th in assist-turnover ratio (1.57) and 30th in scoring offense (80.6 ppg). 
  • On the defensive end, Colgate is holding opponents to 72.4 ppg and 47.9 FG% with a 2.4 rebounding margin.
SERIES HISTORY
  • The series dating back to 1934 is tied at 30-30 after both home teams won last season.
