BOSTON - The Boston University women's ice hockey team, winner of five of its past six contests, starts a three-game week with a visit to Harvard on Tuesday (Nov. 14). Game time is set for 7 p.m. and it will be streamed on ESPN+ and TSN+. 

TERRIER TIDBITS

  • The Terriers started a six-game stretch away from Walter Brown Arena with a 5-3 road win over New Hampshire on Saturday.
  • The Terriers are averaging exactly 12 shots more per game than their opponents this season. At this point last November, BU had a minus-7.4 shot differential, resulting in a 19.4 swing one year later.
  • BU had a four-game win streak snapped on Friday. It was the team's longest win streak since it closed out the 2019-20 regular season with four straight wins to cap an eight game unbeaten streak (7-0-1).
  • Senior Lacey Martin, who scored her first career hat trick on Nov. 4, leads the team in both points (9) and goals (7).
  • Sophomore Clara Yuhn (2g, 6a) has eight points and senior Catherine Foulem has contributed seven points, including five goals, to a balanced attack.
  • The Terriers' power play ranks tied for second among Hockey East teams at 22.6 percent, while their penalty kill ranks second at 87.1 percent.
  • Senior Andi Calderone, who leads the team in plus-minus at +5, had career highs in goals (2) and points (3) in Saturday's win and now has three goals on the year after scoring just twice in her first three seasons.
  • Graduate student Nadia Mattivi and junior Maggie Hanzel each have a goal and five assists this season and they rank tied for fourth among Hockey East defenders in points per game (0.67).
  • Graduate student Alexa Matses and freshman Mari Pietersen have shared time in goal and Matses has the edge in save percentage (.887 - .867) and goals-against-average (2.43 - 2.73).
  • The Terriers rank first among Hockey East teams and seventh nationally in faceoff percentage at 55.8.


SERIES HISTORY

  • BU is 8-9-2 all-time against Harvard.
  • The Terriers are 4-1-1 in non-Beanpot games against the Crimson.
  • The teams last met in last year's Beanpot consolation game and the Terriers posted a 7-4 victory with Christina Vote (2g, 1a) and Catherine Foulem (3a) tallying three points apiece.
     

SCOUTING THE CRIMSON

  • Harvard is looking for its first win of the season and this will be the Crimson's first non-conference game.
  • The Crimson is coming off a 10-1 loss to No. 3 Colgate on Saturday.
  • Harvard is one of three winless teams in Division I, joining Bemidji State and St. Michael's.
  • The Crimson has scored just one goal in each of its past six contests.
  • Senior Shannon Hollands leads Harvard in points (6) and assists (4) and is one of three Crimson with two goals.
  • Junior Mia Biotti has 21 blocked shots this season.
  • Junior Alex Pellicci has started all nine games in goal and has a 4.30 goals-against average and a .869 save percentage.
