BOSTON – Wrapping up both the year and non-conference play, the Boston University men's basketball team will host Merrimack on Saturday at Case Gym with tip-off slated for 2 p.m.
The Terriers are looking to improve to 3-0 against the Northeast Conference following road wins at Wagner and Sacred Heart, while the Warriors will try to carry momentum from last week's 68-52 home win vs. Bucknell in their first matchup against the Patriot League.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- After tallying a career-high 17 points vs. UMass Lowell last Friday, senior Miles Brewster leads BU at 9.3 ppg.
- Brewster is one of three Terriers to have led BU in scoring a team-high three times alongside freshmen Kyrone Alexander (8.4 ppg) and Matai Baptiste (6.7 ppg).
- Sophomore Otto Landrum leads BU at 5.8 rpg while ranking second in points at 8.9 ppg behind a pair of 19-point performances this year.
- The Terriers are 2-2 at home this season with wins over Bryant (95-79) and VTSU-Johnson (90-49).
- BU is averaging 65.3 ppg and 40.5 FG% while holding opponents to 66.6 ppg and 42.5 FG%.
SCOUTING MERRIMACK
- The Warriors are 2-7 on the road compared to the 4-0 home mark. They posted a 71-65 victory at Maine and 96-73 win vs. North Carolina A&T in a tournament hosted by Samford alongside a hard-fought 69-67 loss at George Washington.
- Merrimack is 2-0 against opponents who won at BU this year in Maine (71-65) and UMass Lowell (74-68).
- Jordan Derkack leads the Warriors at 17.3 ppg and 6.2 rpg with Devon Savage (11.2 ppg) and Adam Clark (10.9 ppg) also averaging in double figures.
- The Warriors rank 11th nationally at 10.1 steals per game and 33rd in turnovers forced per game (15.7) though are 300th in turnovers allowed per game at 14.2.
- Merrimack is averaging 69.4 ppg and 44.1 FG% while holding opponents to 70.3 ppg and 42.3 FG%.

- BU is 9-0 all-time with a 6-0 home mark in a series dating back to 1968.
