The Boston University men's lacrosse team will continue its 10th season on Saturday when the Terriers travel to Vermont to face Bryant. Opening faceoff is scheduled for 12 p.m., with the game to be streamed on ESPN+.

TERRIER TIDBITS

  • BU suffered a season-opening 14-12 setback at Vermont on Feb. 11.
  • The Terriers nearly erased a 14-6 fourth-quarter deficit, scoring the final six goals of the game, but they were unable to get any closer than 14-12.
  • Senior Louis Perfetto paced BU with four goals and added an assist to join classmate Vince D'Alto (3g, 2a) with a team-high five points.
  • Graduate student Timmy Ley tallied a hat trick while seniors Thomas Niedringhaus and Roy Meyer each found the back of the net.
  • Sophomore Jimmy O'Connell and junior Tommy Jepson added one assist apiece.
  • Meyer, a Preseason First Team All-American at LSM, recorded five caused turnovers and collected a career-high nine ground balls.
  • He leads the NCAA with 5.0 caused turnovers per game after totaling an NCAA-best 58 caused turnovers in 2022,.
  • As a team, the Terriers forced 12 Vermont giveaways last weekend, which is tied for fifth in the NCAA and second in the Patriot League.
  • BU also held Vermont to a .720 clear percentage last weekend, as the Catamounts went just 18-for-25 on their clearing attempts.

HISTORY WITH THE BRYANT

  • BU is 4-1 against Bryant, including a 13-8 win at Nickerson Field last season that featured whiteout conditions during part of the second half.
  • The Terriers' lone loss to the Bulldogs came during their last trip to Smithfield, as Bryant earned a 15-10 win on Feb. 18, 2020.
  • BU is 1-1 at Bryant, having defeated the Bulldogs in overtime, 8-7, on Feb. 27, 2018.
  • The Terriers also own a 12-9 victory on Feb. 28, 2017, and a 14-9 triumph on Feb. 26, 2019.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS

  • Bryant is 1-0 after a 15-14 home win over Providence last Saturday in head coach Brad Ross' first game in charge of the Bulldogs.
  • It was a 14-9 game through three quarters before Providence outscored Bryant, 5-1, over the final 15 minutes to get within one.
  • Kevin Groeninger recorded five points, while brothers Timmy and Johnny Hackett each produced four points.
  • Jacob Alexander (14-of-20) and Nathan Laliberte (9-of-13) combined to go 23-of-33 at the X.
  • Teagan Alexander made nine saves in goal.
  • Bryant outshot Providence, 52-31, and was 2-of-4 on EMOs.
