Emma Montoya were named to the indoor track & field Academic All-Patriot League Team, the conference announced Thursday.

To be named a Scholar-Athlete and to the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and be a starter or key player in their sport. Freshmen or students in their first academic year at their school are not eligible for the honor.

Hamilton reached the podium three times at the Patriot League Championships. She won the title in the high jump to receive First Team All-Patriot League honors and placed second in both the triple and long jumps for second team honors. The Mississauga, Ont., native is pursuing a degree in film and TV.

Convery ran to first place in the 800m at the Patriot League Championships for her first conference title. She earned first-team honors with the finish and she helped the 4x800m relay team run to the sixth-fastest time in school history. Convery is currently pursuing a graduate degree in project management.

Montoya had an impressive cap to her indoor season as she set the school record in the 400m with a 53.34 at the IC4A/ECAC meet. She also took the 400m title at the Patriot League Championships and was a member of the 4x400m first-place team at the conference meet. The two-time First-Team All-Patriot League select is completing her graduate degree in biology.Â

The Terriers will begin the outdoor season on March 25 with the Raleigh Relays.
