The Boston University track & field teams continued the outdoor season at the Pepsi Florida Relays and the UConn Dog Fight. Senior
Noelani Phillips highlighted the weekend with a school record in the 200m dash at Florida while nine additional top-10 program marks were set.

With the top sprinters and jumpers down in Gainesville, Fla., the Terriers had a chance to make an impact and did just that. Phillips led BU's performances at Florida with a 200m dash time of 23.68 to set the school record in the event. She bested the previous school record of 23.79 which was set by Marian Knijn in 1990.

Additional notable performances on the women's side came from freshman
Jada Smith and sophomore
Asia Hamilton. Smith ran a time of 11.95 in the 100m dash to set the sixth-fastest time in program history. Hamilton set personal bests in the triple (12.00m (39' 4.5")) and high (1.71m (5' 7.25")) jumps to keep the eighth- and ninth-best jumps in program history, respectively. Phillips also set the second-best time in BU history in the 400m with a time of 53.97.

On the men's side, freshman Logan Popelka ran a 46.56 in the 400m dash to set the third-best time in school history. Sophomore Leon Christian notably ran a personal best in the 100m with a time of 10.54 which ties him for ninth-best in BU history.

The men's 4x400m relay preliminary race found BU in fourth place with a time of 3:09.62. Freshman Liam Gair, Christian, sophomore Matthew Spicer and Popelka set the third-best time in BU history with the performance.

UConn Dog Fight

The Terriers had the strongest performances of the day in the pole vault with all three Terriers competing setting top-10 program marks. Junior
Alli Lofquist cleared 3.65m (11' 7.75") to set the second-best mark in program history. Grad student
Lauren Sikoski cleared 3.5m (11' 5.75") and sophomore
Robin Rosen cleared 3.35m (10' 11.75") to set the fifth- and ninth-best heights in program history.

In the women's hammer throw, freshman
Uchenna Uba set the ninth-best throw in BU history with a 45.34m (148' 9"). Notably, junior
Emma Kowalski led BU in the event with a toss of 53.26m (174' 9") to place fifth in the event.

On the men's side, freshman Parker Schneider highlighted the 800m race with a time of 1:51.14, good for second place. Grad student Marcel Aubry also had a top-five finish in the event with a time of 1:53.35 to place fifth. In the 5,000m, BU also had a top-five placement in junior Robert Hannon who finished with a time of 14:51.19 to place second.Â
