Coach Quotables

Coach Carpenter on the Yale Last Chance Meet
Â
"We had two athletes shine with Parker running his second-fasted time ever in the 1,500m. His development this entire season has been fun to watch and he is beginning to establish himself as not only one of the top freshmen in the NCAA bus as one of the premier middle-distance runners. He will be on the bubble for NCAA qualifying and we will find out Thursday if he gets in. Regardless, he has had one of the best freshmen years in BU distance history."
Â
"Vera had a massive run in her 1,500m race. This was really her only opportunity to run in a 1,500m that was set up to go fast and she capitalized on that opportunity to set a huge seven second personal best. This mark will also qualify her for the 1,500m at the European U23 Championships this summer where she will represent Sweden. Vera will now turn to NCAAs where she will focus on the 5,000m and look to advance to the NCAA final in June to cap off a historic freshman campaign."
Â
Coach Macey on the NEICAAA Championship
Â
"Kasim posted an outdoor season best this weekend with a 2.08m in the high jump. Not only did that jump place him second at the New England Championship but it also put him into contention to make the NCAA Regional next week. He had great attempts at 2.11m and looked very confident which will carry over into the final meets of the outdoor season."
