Slott Tabbed Patriot League Rookie Of The Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Boston University women's soccer freshman Kat Slott has been selected as the Patriot League Rookie of the Week for the week of Sept. 25, the league announced on Monday.
Slott earns BU's first Rookie of the Week honor in 2023, and the second overall weekly award after sophomore Mackenzie Stickelman was Midfielder of the Week on Aug. 28.
Since the Terriers joined the Patriot League ahead of the 2013 campaign, BU has now won the Patriot League Rookie of the Week award 17 times. Slott is the first since teammate Giulianna Gianino garnered recognition in consecutive weeks from Aug. 22-29, 2022.
Slott made her collegiate debut at Lehigh on Sept. 24, and helped spur BU's two-goal comeback with the primary assist in the 81st minute for the Terriers' first goal in a 2-2 draw. The helper was her first collegiate point.
With her assist, Slott became the 12th Terrier to record a point this year. She is the third rookie to tally her first collegiate assist, joining Samantha Aronson and Kaiya Stewart.
The Patriot League also named Gianino (three points across two matches) and Stickelman (go-ahead goal against Colgate on Sept. 20) as honorable mentions for the week.
BU returns to the pitch on Sunday (Oct. 1), visiting Navy for a 1 p.m. opening kick.
