Terriers Continue Homestand with Colgate Saturday Afternoon

BOSTON – Continuing a three-game homestand, the Boston University men's soccer team will host Colgate Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.

As part of Team IMPACT Day, the Terriers will recognize their young teammate, Pierce Sabin, in a pregame ceremony and then honor the other Boston University athletic squads' matches set up through Team IMPACT during a halftime ceremony.

BU enters the contest on a four-game unbeaten streak (3-0-1) and atop the Patriot League standings at nine points, while the Raiders will be looking to snap a three-game losing streak.

TERRIER TIDBITS

  • The Terriers dispatched Lehigh, 3-0, on Wednesday to start a season 4-0-0 at home for the first time since 2002.
  • Senior and reigning PL Offensive Plyer of the Week Eitan Rosen scored his team-leading fourth goal of the season in the victory
  • Graduate student Colin Innes totaled four points in the contest with his first goal of the year alongside two assists.
  • Sophomore John Roman earned his first career goal, and graduate student Quinn Matulis recorded his first assist of the year.
  • Senior Francesco Montali has started eight of nine matches this season, posting a .696 save percentage and 0.88 goals against average with three shutouts.
  • Opponents are averaging 1.5 more shots per game (10.9-9.4) with a 50-33 advantage in corners.

SCOUTING COLGATE

  • The Raiders are 1-3 on the road this season, picking up a 1-0 win at PL member Lafayette before dropping a 2-0 decision at Yale on Sept. 19.
  • Colgate's last two losses came at home against Lehigh (2-1) and Loyola Maryland (2-0). Their two home wins came against Siena (2-0) and Binghamton (2-1).
  • Aidan Davock leads the Raiders with four goals, while Connor Cates owns three assists.
  • Andrew Cooke has started eight contests at net, posting a .700 save percentage and 1.50 GAA.
  • Overall, opponents have been nearly doubling Colgate in shots, 12.4-6.3, with a 36-29 lead in corners.

SERIES HISTORY

  • The Terriers are 9-4-2 all-time against Colgate in a series dating back to 1979.
