Hutson Named to 2024-25 Leadership Group
October 4, 2024 | Men's Ice Hockey
BOSTON - Junior Quinn Hutson was named an assistant captain ahead of the 2024-25 season, head coach Jay Pandolfo announced on Friday.
Hutson joins classmate Devin Kaplan as an assistant captain; junior Ryan Greene and sophomore Shane Lachance will serve as co-captains this season.
"I'm thrilled that Quinn will join this year's leadership group," Pandolfo said. "He has been an integral part of our success during his time here, not only because of his play on the ice but because of his dedication to doing things the right way off the ice as well. Quinn is well-respected by everyone in our program and has certainly earned this recognition."
Hutson has missed just one game over his first two years as a Terrier, playing in all 40 contests during a sensational sophomore season. He set new career highs with 18 goals and 18 assists for 36 points last year to help BU return to the Frozen Four. The NCAA's active career leader in game-winning goals (9), Hutson recorded two hat tricks as a sophomore and also lit the lamp in the NCAA Sioux Falls Regional final against Minnesota to spark the comeback win.
A native of North Barrington, Illinois, Hutson is the second member of his family to wear a letter for the Terriers, as brother Lane was an assistant captain last season.
