HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Toreros started the game on an 8-1 run capped by Bradley's 3-pointer at 15:59.
- After BU started the game missing its first six field goal attempts, Chimezie found sophomore Matai Baptiste for a 3-pointer to cut the deficit in half.
- Facing a 13-6 deficit, BU went on an 8-2 spurt featuring 3-pointers from sophomore Michael McNair and Palacios at 12:11 with Brewster adding another 30 seconds later to tie the game, 17-17.
- Trouet though gave USD the lead for good on the next possession with a trey of his own, as part of an 8-1 run capped by Kean Webb's layup at 6:54.
- The teams went back-and-forth with Palacios scoring from behind the arc to pull within two, 31-29, at 2:24.
- After BU came up empty on two possessions attempting to either tie the game or grab the lead, USD hit a 3-pointer to help enter the locker room ahead, 34-30.
- Brewster started the second half with a layup and helped BU drew an offensive turnover from the Toreros.
- The Terriers though missed a 3-point attempt and never had another opportunity to grab the lead, as Kody Clouet hit a tough jumper to ignite USD's 15-0 run featuring three 3-pointers over the next four minutes.
- Down 18 (52-34) with 13:07 left, Palacios scored six straight points, but BU would never get any closer in the loss.
