The Boston University men's lacrosse team will continue its 2024 season on Tuesday when the Terriers travel to Providence to face Brown. Opening faceoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU suffered its first setback of the season on Friday, falling to Bryant, 12-6, at Nickerson Field.
- Graduate student Louis Perfetto became the third Terrier in program history to reach 200 points thanks to his two-goal, two-assist effort against the Bulldogs.
- He has recorded 93 goals and 107 assists during his illustrious career, joining Timmy Ley (215 points) and Vince D'Alto (221)Â in that exclusive club.
- Perfetto enters Tuesday ranked ninth in the NCAA with 6.33 points per game and is 13th in the country with 3.0 assists per game.
- When Perfetto scores his 100th career goal and D'Alto records his 100th career assist, they will be the first players in program history to reach both 100 goals and 100 assists.
- Graduate student Roy Meyer led BU with four of the Terriers' 14 caused turnovers on Friday.
- BU is once again first in the nation with 15.0 caused turnovers per game through three games.
- The Terriers have held opponents to a .785 clearing percentage through three games this season, which is 10th-best in the country and tops in the Patriot League.
- Junior Will Barnes made a career-high 19 saves against Bryant on Friday night and enters Tuesday ranked sixth in the country and first in the Patriot League with 15.67 saves per game.
HISTORY AGAINST BROWN
- BU and Brown have met just once before, with Brown earning a 12-5 win at Nickerson Field on April 23, 2021.
- Tommy Jepson found the back of the net for the Terriers while Louis Perfetto recorded two assists.Â
- Patrick Morrison collected five ground balls and forced four Brown turnovers while Roy Meyer secured four ground balls and recorded three caused turnovers.
SCOUTING THE BEARS
- Brown opened its season on Saturday with a 13-7 loss at Quinnipiac.
- Aidan McLane, named to the Tewaaraton Watch List last week after notching 29 goals and nine assists for 38 points last season, led the Bears with three goals on Saturday while Matteo Corsi and Forrest Demetri both tallied two goals.Â
- Corsi also secured an assist to match McLane with three points while Jack Kelly added a pair of assists in the defeat.
- Teagan Bultman went 9-for-14 at the faceoff X.
- Connor Theriault recorded nine saves in 51:12 of work before being relieved by Connor Foley.
- The Bears finished last season 6-8 overall and 2-4 in the Ivy League.
