COLUMBIA, S.C. – Facing a one-run deficit, the No. 22/23 nationally-ranked Boston University softball team scored four runs in the sixth and held off a late rally attempt to defeat Minnesota, 5-4, on Friday afternoon at South Carolina's Garnet & Black Invitational.
With their second win of the year against the Big Ten conference, the Terriers improve to 19-2, while the Gophers drop to 13-10 following earlier victories over then-No. 10 Clemson and No. 24 San Diego State.
