CORAL GABLES, Fla. - The Boston University track & field team began its outdoor season with the Hurricane Invitational at Miami over the weekend. Five Terriers recorded top-10 program marks as the jumps, multis and throwers got their seasons underway.

Top-10 Terriers

• Sophomore Peace Omonzane jumped 12.74m (41' 9.75") in the triple jump to tie the third best mark in BU history in her collegiate outdoor debut.
• Junior Asia Hamilton opened the season with a PR in the high jump with a mark of 1.72m (5' 7.75") which moves her up to eighth all-time at BU.
• Senior Emma Kowalski threw the second-best mark in BU history in the hammer throw with a 55.74m (182' 10").
• Fellow senior Juliana Nakouzi set the fourth-best BU mark in the hammer with a toss of 50.1m (164' 4").
• Sophomore Owen Faulha threw for 61.4m (201' 5") in the javelin to keep the sixth-best BU mark with the PR.
• Senior Stuart Bladon set the eighth-best vault in BU history with a jump of 4.50m (14' 9")

Notable Terriers

• Omonzane barely missed the top-10 list in long jump with a mark of 5.92m (12' 5.25").
• Junior Cole Tucker placed fifth in the discus with a throw of 43.57m (142' 11").
• Junior Ryan Rosenberger jumped a wind-aided mark of 7.30m (23' 11.5") in the long jump to place seventh.
