TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU enters the final two weeks of the regular season in a six-way tie atop the Patriot League standings at 4-2.
- A Bucknell loss on Friday means that all six of those tied teams (BU, Lehigh, Navy, Colgate, Loyola, Army) will make the PL Tournament, though the Terriers seem poised to be in the playoffs no matter what based on potential tiebreaker scenarios.
- The Terriers most recently lost a heartbreaker in their final regular-season home game, falling at the buzzer to Lafayette, 11-10.
- Graduate student Vince D'Alto, the program's all-time points (264) and goals (158) leader, paced BU with six points (2g, 4a) against the Leopards.
- Classmate Louis Perfetto (2g, 2a) added four points while junior Brenden Kelly and sophomore Jimmy Kohr scored two goals apiece.
- Graduate student Jake Cates needs one more point to reach 100 for his career after finding the back of the net this past Saturday.
- Perfetto is fifth in the nation in points per game (5.25) and also leads the Patriot League in assists per game (2.42) and goals per game (2.83).
- He has notched 60 points in each of the past three seasons.
- D'Alto is at 58 points and can help BU become the only school since at least 2011 (and potentially further back) to have the same two players record 60+ points in three straight years.
- BU is third in the NCAA and second in the Patriot League with 11.25 caused turnovers per game.
- The Terriers have held opponents to a .786 clearing percentage through 12 games this season, which is fourth-best in the country and second in the Patriot League.
HISTORY AGAINST LEHIGH
- BU is 4-7 all-time against Lehigh and has won each of the last three meetings.
- That includes a 14-11 home win last season on CBS Sports Network.
- The Terriers also defeated the Mountain Hawks in overtime of the 2022 Patriot League semifinals.
- BU bested Lehigh, 9-8, on April 23, 2022 in the Terriers' last visit to Bethlehem, with Timmy Ley's last-second goal securing the program's first-ever regular-season title.
- Four of the last six games have been decided by just one goal, with each of those last six meetings decided by three goals or fewer.
SCOUTING THE MOUNTAIN HAWKS
- Lehigh enters Saturday having won two straight games, both with 9-7 finals.
- The Mountain Hawks bested then-No. 17/18 Colgate on the road last weekend after defeating Holy Cross at home on April 6.
- Senior Quinn Armstrong is the reigning PL Offensive Player of the Week after totaling four goals and one assist against Colgate.
- Armstrong is second on the squad with 19 goals and third on Lehigh with 26 points.
- PL Preseason Offensive Player of the Year Scott Cole leads Lehigh with 29 goals and 35 points while sophomore Andrew Kelly has posted a team-best eight assists.
- Kelly is second on the squad with 27 points (19g, 8a).
- Junior Sean Dow was named PL Faceoff Specialist of the Week on Monday after going 14-of-18 with seven ground balls in the victory over Colgate.
- Dow is 132-of-236 (.559) at the X this season and leads Lehigh with 71 ground balls.
- Sophomore Richard Checo paces Lehigh with 28 caused turnovers and is second behind Dow with 43 ground balls.
- Senior Nick Pecora is 6-6 this season with a 10.94 goals-against average and a .529 save percentage.
UP NEXT
- BU will conclude the regular season on Friday, April 26, when the Terriers travel to Colgate.
