Men's Basketball Returns to Case Gym to Host Army West Point Sunday Afternoon

BOSTON – Returning to Case Gym following a season-long four-game road trip, the Boston University men's basketball team will host Army West Point on Sunday with a 1 p.m. tip.

TERRIER TIDBITS
  • Seeking a three-game home win streak, BU last collected 80-74 OT win over UAlbany and 113-75 victory against Thomas College with the Great Danes also falling at Army in their season opener (67-59).
  • Sophomore Kyrone Alexander is the lone Terrier averaging double figures at 13.3 ppg after leading BU with 14 points in Thursday's 60-46 loss at Lafayette. Alexander is also tied with junior Ben Roy in assists at 29 total.
  • Sophomore Michael McNair leads BU with 32 3-pointers to average 9.6 ppg, while graduate student Miles Brewster is close behind at 9.4 ppg with a team-high 19 steals.
  • With a team-high 5.9 rpg, senior Malcolm Chimezie (8.8 ppg) has helped the Terriers rank 66th nationally with a +5.8 rebounding margin and only lose the rebound battle four times over 14 contests.
  • BU is averaging 67.6 ppg and 43.8 FG% while holding opponents to 68.1 ppg and 42.9 FG%. The Terriers have lost points at the free throw line, ranking 348th nationally at 62.7 FT% with the competition shooting 76.2 FT%.
SCOUTING ARMY WEST POINT
  • The Black Knights are 1-5 on the road with an 103-100 (3OT) win at Le Moyne and two tightly-contested losses at Manhattan (80-79) and Marist (91-88 OT).
  • Army started PL play with 71-59 loss at Colgate following a 78-75 home win against UTSA.
  • Army has used the same lineup for all 13 games with Jalen Rucker owning a team-high 18.1 ppg and 1.8 spg with 3.8 apg and 4.8 rpg.
  • Josh Scovens (16.6 ppg), Ryan Curry (12.8 ppg) and AJ Allenspach (11.3 ppg) are the other starters averaging double figures in points. Curry leads Army in assists at 4.2 apg, while Allenspach is nearly averaging a double-double with 9.1 rpg.
  • Army is averaging 78.5 ppg and 44.9 FG% while holding opponents to 77.1 ppg and 44.6 FG%.
SERIES HISTORY
  • BU leads the all-time series, 22-19, with Army riding a three-game win streak.
