Five Terriers Earn All-Patriot League Honors

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After helping the Boston University men's soccer team reach its fourth straight Patriot League tournament, five Terriers claimed All-Conference honors, as announced by the league office Friday afternoon.
Junior Andrea Di Blasio (F) along with seniors Ethan Gill (F), Diego Rived (M) and Quin DeLaMater (D) all landed on the second team, while sophomore Pharis Petrica (M) grabbed a spot on the third team. Di Blasio, DeLaMater, Gill and Rived were recognized for the second time, as at least four Terriers garnered the spotlight for the fourth consecutive season.,
A 2024 All-PL First Teamer, Di Blasio increased his point total from last year, finishing the regular season with five goals and an assist for 11 points. He first recorded a three-point performance (1g,1a) vs. Brown before netting the game winner vs. Navy. He later followed up with a brace against Loyola Maryland and a goal off a successful penalty kick vs. Holy Cross.
Placed on the second team for the second time in three years, Gill led BU during the regular season with six goals, including game winners against Holy Cross and Colgate. He also found the back of the net at American, Charleston, Bucknell and Harvard with his lone assist occurring at home vs. Loyola Maryland.
Named 2024 PL Defensive Player of the Year, DeLaMater anchored a backline that recorded shutouts at New Hampshire alongside home wins vs. Navy and Colgate. He scored one goal and assisted on the game winner at Harvard and followed up in the next game with a pair of assists against Loyola Maryland.
Recipient of the 2024 PL Midfielder of the Year award, Rived assisted on a goal against Northeastern. He directed traffic in the midfield in 15 contests and played a team-high 1,168 minutes during the regular season.
Petrica tied Gill with 13 points off a team-high seven assists alongside three goals. He first recorded a goal and assist at Charleston and followed up with 3-point performances at Bucknell and vs. Loyola Maryland. He also had assists against Colgate, Northeastern and Brown.
Seeded fourth, the Terriers will begin the PL tournament by hosting No. 5 Bucknell on Saturday (Nov. 8) with a 1 p.m. start time at Nickerson Field.
