No. 18 Terriers to Host Vermont for Weekend Series at Agganis

The No. 18 Boston University men's ice hockey team will continue its 104th season this weekend when the Terriers welcome Vermont to Agganis Arena for a two-game series that begins Friday at 7 p.m. The teams will then skate on Saturday at 6 p.m.
Fans can purchase tickets to both games by clicking here, with both games being streamed on ESPN+. In addition, an audio-only broadcast for both games will be located here.

TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU returns to league play after closing its pre-Beanpot non-conference schedule with a 2-1 win over then-No. 17/16 Cornell at Red Hot Hockey on Saturday at Madison Square Garden.
- Sophomore Cole Eiserman was named Hockey East Player of the Week after factoring on both goals in Saturday's win.
- He provided the primary assist on classmate Kamil Bednarilk's first-period strike before breaking a 1-1 deadlock early in the third period with his seventh goal of the season.
- Sophomore Mikhail Yegorov was fantastic between the pipes, stopping 28 of the 29 shots he faced.
- Junior captain Gavin McCarthy and freshman Charlie Trethewey each recorded an assist.
- The Terriers went 4-for-4 on the penalty kill against the Big Red and are 10-for-11 on the PK over their last three games.
- Sophomore Cole Hutson earned his second consecutive Hockey East Defender of the Month award on Wednesday.
- Hutson leads all NCAA defensemen with 18 points (7g, 11a), including three game-winning goals, entering this weekend.
- Bednarik, Eiserman and Hutson were all named to the U.S. National Junior Team preliminary roster on Monday.
- The Terriers and Catamounts have played 98 times since the 1971-72 season, with BU holding a 63-25-10 (.694) advantage.
- BU is 29-5-3 in the past 37 meetings, including a 10-game win streak dating back to the 2021-22 season.
- From 1974-84, the teams shared time in the ECAC, with BU posting a 13-4-1 record against the Catamounts during the span.
- Since the Catamounts joined Hockey East in 2005, the teams have met 57 times and BU holds a 36-14-7 advantage in those contests.

SCOUTING THE CATAMOUNTS
- Vermont went just 2-5-0 in November, most recently falling to Harvard (5-1) and Dartmouth (7-2) last weekend.
- The Catamounts have scored just 16 goals this season, which ranks last in the NCAA.
- Sophomore Colin Kessler leads UVM with seven points, all of which are assists, while junior Sebastian Törnqvist, freshman Jonah Aegertter and sophomore Max Strand all have two goals apiece.
- Freshman Aiden Wright has started 11 of his 12 appearances between the pipes, posting a 3-8-0 record with a 3.53 goals-against average and an .894 save percentage.
