BOSTON – Riding a nine-game home win streak, the Boston University men's basketball team will host Loyola Maryland on Wednesday night with a 7 p.m. start time.
The Terriers most recently claimed a 93-91 home double overtime win against defending Patriot League champion Colgate, while the Greyhounds fell at American, 72-51.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU's nine-game home win streak is currently the program's longest since the Terriers finished the 2010-11 season on a nine-game home win streak. BU last won 10 straight in 1996-97 when the program went a perfect 10-0 at home.
- Sophomore Kyrone Alexander owns a team-high 12.4 ppg after scoring 20+ points for the fourth time this season against the Raiders. He hit the game-winning bucket with five seconds left in 2OT to finish with 21 points.
- Sophomore Michael McNair is second on the team at 10.7 ppg, just ahead of graduate student Miles Brewster's 10.1 ppg.
- Freshman Ben Defty (4.0 ppg) posted a personal-best 15 points and seven rebounds against Colgate for his fifth overall 10+ point performance of the season.
- With McNair hauling in eight rebounds, BU finished with a 46-30 advantage in rebounds against the Raiders to move up to No. 36 nationally in rebound margin (+5.7 rpg). BU is 13-6 when out-rebounding opponents.

SCOUTING LOYOLA MARYLAND
- The Greyhounds are 5-9 on the road compared to their 5-6 home mark, most recently dropping a 72-51 decision at American following a 64-60 home loss to Army West Point.
- During non-conference play, Loyola earned noted wins against NJIT (68-50), VMI (70-67) and Mount St. Mary's (77-69).
- Like BU, Loyola has three Greyhounds who have started every single game with Milos Ilic averaging 14.0 ppg and 7.5 rpg.
- Jacob Theodosiou (12.4 ppg) and Jordan Stiemke (12.4 ppg) are also scoring in double figures.
- On the season, Loyola is averaging 68.4 ppg and 42.9 FG% while holding opponents to 70.9 ppg and 45.8 FG%.

SERIES HISTORY
- BU leads the all-time series, 19-8, having won 10 of the last 12 meetings after the the Greyhounds snapped the Terriers' six-game win streak.
- In the last meeting at Reitz Arena, BU trailed by as many as 11 points in the first half and later six in the second with 2:18 left. The Terriers grabbed the defensive rebound after Stiemke missed a 1-and-1 but their buzzer beating go-ahead 3-point attempt was off the mark in the 69-67 loss.
- Theodosiou went 4-of-7 from behind the arc to help Loyola triple BU in made 3-pointers, 9-3.
