BOSTON – Riding a 10-game home win streak, the Boston University men's basketball team will conclude the regular season by hosting Lafayette on Saturday with the tip-off set for 1 p.m.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early, as the program will host its Senior Day ceremony to recognize Miles Brewster, Malcolm Chimezie, Ethan Okwuosa, Ben Palacios and Ryan Sutliff.

With Wednesday's 79-68 win at Lehigh, BU clinched a first round bye for next week's Patriot League tournament. The Terriers can finish anywhere from No. 3 to No. 6 in the PL standings dependent on Saturday's results, while the Leopards will host a first round contest as the No. 7 seed.

TERRIER TIDBITS
  • BU's 10-game home win streak is the program's longest since the team won 10 straight during the 1997-98 season. The Terriers last won 11 straight in a single season in 1988-89 with an 11-0 record.
  • The Terriers will try to win every home conference game for the first time since posting an 8-0 record against the America East in 2010-11.
  • On Wednesday, sophomore Kyrone Alexander earned his second career double double with 21 points and 10 rebounds to increase his season averages to a team-high 12.9 ppg and 5.1 rpg.
  • Classmate Michael McNair is also averaging double figures in points at 10.3 ppg, just ahead of Brewster (10.2 ppg).
  • Around the hoop, Chimezie (8.2 ppg) leads BU in blocks at 23 total while averaging 5.1 rpg (0.04 behind Alexander).
  • The Terriers are averaging 66.8 ppg and 43.6 FG% while holding opponents to 68.0 ppg and 44.6 FG%.
SCOUTING LAFAYETTE
  • Lafayette is seeking its second three-game win streak of the season following home wins against Lehigh (78-70) and Army West Point (81-65).
  • The Leopards are 3-12 on the road, dropping the last two games at Holy Cross (74-69 OT) and at American (60-58) following 76-61 win at Colgate. They also posted wins at Loyola Maryland (80-59) and Mercyhurst (77-73).
  • 6-foot-5 guard Alex Chaikin leads Lafayette in scoring at 12.9 ppg by shooting 44.9 percent from behind the arc.
  • The senior 7-foot-0 forward Justin Vander Baan is averaging 12.2 ppg with a team-high 2.9 bpg, while Caleb Williams is also in double figures at 10.9 ppg.
