The No. 9/7 Boston University men's ice hockey team will begin its quest for the program's 11th Hockey East title when the third-seeded Terriers host No. 14 and sixth-seeded UMass for a league quarterfinal game at Agganis Arena. Puck drop is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
Saturday's game will be streamed on ESPN+ and televised on NESN+, with an audio-only broadcast located here.
HOCKEY EAST QUICK FACTS
- BU is 81-44-1 all-time in the Hockey East Tournament, having qualified for all 40 editions of the league's postseason.
- No other team has won more Hockey East tournament games than BU.

- Freshman Cole Hutson (first team), junior Quinn Hutson (second team), sophomore Tom Willander (second team) and junior Ryan Greene (third team) were all selected as Hockey East All-Stars.
- This is the third straight year that four Terriers have been named league all-stars.
- C. Hutson and classmate Cole Eiserman were named to the league's All-Rookie Team.
- Eiserman leads all NCAA rookies with 20 goals, three clear of the next closest freshman, and is tied for eighth among all first-year players with 29 points.
- C. Hutson leads all NCAA rookies with 39 points and is tied for first among the country's first-year players with 27 assists.
- He also leads all rookie defensemen as well as all Hockey East blue liners, regardless of class, in goals (12), assists (27) and points (39); he is second among all NCAA defensemen in all three categories and paces all defensemen with 1.18 points per game.
- Q. Hutson enters the weekend as the national leader in points per game, averaging 1.44 points in 32 games.
- He is one of just five skaters to have notched 20+ goals and 25+ assists this season, doing so in the fewest amount of games (32) than the other four men to accomplish that feat.
- Willander, a two-time Hockey East Second Team All-Star, is one of just seven defensemen in the NCAA and the only Hockey East blue liner to have at least 21 points and be a plus-16 or better this season.
- Freshman Mikhail Yegorov enters the weekend ranked fifth in the nation in both save percentage (.936) and goals-against average (1.82).
- He has been outstanding in his last four starts, going 3-0-1 with a .956 save percentage and a 1.26 goals-against average.
- Greene needs just one more point to join Q. Hutson in the 100-point club.

HISTORY WITH UMASS
- The Terriers are 72-15-9 (.797) all-time against UMass in a series that began on Jan. 16, 1920.
- BU earned its first win in program history against UMass, which was known then as Massachusetts Agricultural College, on Jan. 11, 1923, at Boston Arena.
- The Terriers are 9-1-2 over the last 12 games against UMass, including a split of this year's home-and-home series.
LAST TIME AGAINST THE MINUTEMEN
- BU scored the final four goals of the game to earn a 4-2 victory in Amherst on Dec. 11.
- The Terriers trailed, 2-0, until junior Devin Kaplan's power-play goal brought BU within one with 2:07 remaining in the second period.
- Freshman Cole Hutson then scored two straight goals, tying the game with 11:11 to play before scoring the game-winner with 9:53 remaining in regulation.
- Junior Quinn Hutson assisted on the tying goal and made it 4-2 with 7:12 to play.
- Kaplan assisted on the go-ahead goal to complete a two-point effort while freshman Cole Eiserman secured two assists.

- UMass earned its spot in the quarterfinals with a 2-1 home win over 11th-seeded Vermont on Wednesday.
- The Minutemen are 10-2-3 in their last 15 games, with the two losses coming against top-five foes Boston College and Maine, two teams they've also defeated during this span.
- Junior Cole O'Hara, a Hockey East First Team All-Star, leads UMass in goals (22), assists (28) and points (50).
- He has recorded at least one point in 14 of the last 15 games.
- Sophomores Aydar Suniev (17g, 18a) and Jack Musa (17g, 17a) have totaled 35 and 34 points, respectively.
- Freshman defenseman Francesco Dell'Elce was named to the Hockey East All-Rookie Team after posting 22 points (6g, 16a).
- Sophomore Michael Hrabal, a Hockey East Third Team All-Star, is 18-10-5 in 33 starts, boasting a 2.32 goals-against average and a .927 save percentage.
