TAMPA, Fla. — The Boston University track & field team wrapped up its final day of competition at the USF Alumni Invitational at the USF Track & Field Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
BU opened its season with six top 10 marks over the course of two days and a school record on Friday from Owen Faulha in the javelin.
The Terriers head next week to the Raleigh Relays at NC State and the Texas State Bobcat Invitational and Multi Meet.
TOP 10 TERRIER
- Freshman Guy Margalit jumped 14.95m for his longest jump of the day, but it was not wind-legal. However, his attempt of 14.48m was wind-legal and is the ninth-best mark outdoors at BU.
NOTABLE RESULTS
- Senior Matthew Spicer was just .04 seconds away from entering the Terrier Top 10 in the 400m, finishing 15th with a 47.44 time.
- In his collegiate debut in the discus, freshman Luke Riordan threw 44.62m and is under three meters away from the top 10.
- Junior Olivia Dodds ran a 56.44 400m, setting a new personal best in the event by two seconds. It was her first time running the event outdoors since April of 2023.
- In her first outdoor action, senior Emma Lawrence reached 12.25 meters - just .12 meters away from her personal best.
