Women’s Rowing Prepped for NCAA Championships

May 28, 2025

BOSTON – The Boston University women's rowing program is set for its second consecutive and 10th overall appearance in the NCAA Championships, beginning Friday (May 30) at Mercer Lake in West Windsor, N.J.

Streaming is available on NCAA.com for all three days. Live results will be available via Regatta Timing and updates will be provided on @BUGameDay on X.

BU begins racing on Day 1 at 10:12 a.m. in the third heat of the Varsity 8+. The Second Varsity 8+ hits the course for the fourth heat at 11:12 a.m. while the Varsity 4+ races in the third heat at 11:48 a.m. The top three crews in those heads advance to the A/B Semifinals on Saturday (May 31), while the remainder move to the C/D Semifinals.

BU is one of nine automatic qualifiers in the 22-school field. BU's Varsity 8+ and Varsity 4+ were seeded 19th while the Second Varsity 8+ was seeded 20th. Fourteen Terriers return to the competition that were present at the 2024 NCAA Championships with nine newcomers making up the rest of BU's lineups.

BU successfully defended its Patriot League crown back on May 16, winning the V8, V4 and 2V4 Grand Finals. The V8 was named the Boat of the Year for the second season in a row, and director of women's rowing Malcolm Doldron was once again named the Coach of the Year.

Following the regatta, seven Terriers earned All-Patriot League recognition. Freshman Sotiria Angou, sophomore Ingrid Eshuis, senior Audrey Lucerne and sophomore Lydia Pelton all made the first team while freshman Raylynn Boston, graduate student Kat Robbins and freshman Gigi Williams all made the second team.
