The top two teams in the Patriot League standings will meet in Baltimore on Saturday when the Boston University men's lacrosse team faces Loyola Maryland. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+ beginning at 12 p.m.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU has not played since March 24 when the Terriers dropped a hard-fought game against then-No. 3 Harvard, 14-11, at Nickerson Field.
- Sophomore Andrew Pape led the Terrier offense with four points on two goals and two assists.
- Senior Jimmy Kohr recorded a hat trick against the Crimson, marking his 25th straight game with a goal.
- He has collected at least two points in all 25 of those games.
- Sophomore Timothy Shannehan tallied one goal and two assists against Harvard.
- Shannehan matched the program (and likely Patriot League) record set by Chris Gray and Vince D'Alto by recording 50+ goals and 50+ assists in just his 25th career game.
- Shannehan enters Saturday as the Terriers' leader in goals (26), assists (21) and points (47).
- Sophomore Madden Murphy is the reigning Patriot League Faceoff Specialist of the Week after going 17-for-28 with a career-high 13 ground balls against Harvard.
- Murphy has been particularly good in March, going 73-of-101 (.584) this past month with 30 ground balls.
- BU has scored three man-up goals in each of the last two games.
- The Terriers rank seventh in the nation and first in the Patriot League with a man-up success rate of 68.7%.
- BU leads the nation in caused turnovers per game (13.22) and is the top riding team in the country, holding opponents to a .687 clearing percentage.
HISTORY WITH THE HOUNDS
- BU and Loyola have each won six of the 12 all-time meetings between the two schools, which joined the Patriot League for the 2014 season.
- The Terriers have won five of the last six meetings, with the one loss a 12-11 defeat in the 2023 Patriot League semifinals at Nickerson Field.
- The Terriers are 6-3 against the Greyhounds since 2017, including a 2-2 record at Ridley.
- The Terriers' first win at Loyola was a 14-9 triumph in 2022 and they followed that with a 12-10 victory in Baltimore during the 2024 campaign.

SCOUTING LOYOLA
- The Greyhounds have won two straight games, defeating Bucknell, 13-12, at home on March 21 before besting Holy Cross, 10-8, this past Saturday in Worcester.
- Senior Max Watkinson is the reigning Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week after a 15-save effort against the Crusaders.
- He owns a 12.23 goals-against average and a .518 save percentage.
- Sophomore Mason Cook leads the Greyhounds in goals (37) and points (44).
- Junior Kenan Everhart leads Loyola with 16 assists and is second on the squad with 22 goals and 38 points.
- Graduate student Joe Houlihan leads the Greyhounds with 12 caused turnovers.
- Junior Carson Hall is 92-of-169 (.544) at the faceoff X this season and paces Loyola with 45 ground balls.
- BU will return home to host Bucknell on Saturday, April 11, in the second game of a Lax-A-Palooza doubleheader with the women's lacrosse team.
