AS A SENIOR IN 2009-10
Competed at the 2010 World Rowing Championships in New Zealand, helping the Dutch 8 finish fourth ... Sat in the five seat and stroke seat during the spring season on the varsity eight boat ... Stroked the V8 to victory in the Petite Final at the IRAs after missing out on a Grand Final appearance by 0.02 seconds ... Placed 12th at the Eastern Sprints ... Won the program's fifth straight Bill Cup against Dartmouth and Rutgers.
AS A RED-SHIRT JUNIOR IN 2008-09
Competed at the 2009 World Rowing Championships in Poland for the Neterlands, helping the eight boat along with former teammate Jozef Klassen ('07) capture third for the bronze medal ... Sat in the stroke position on the V8 boat during the entire spring season ... Helped BU reach its first Grand Final at the IRAs since 2005, placing sixth overall ... Captured the Michalson Cup against then second-ranked Brown for the first time since 1987 ... Advanced past No. 8 Syracuse to reach the Eastern Sprints Grand Final and eventually finish sixth ... Claimed the Lusins Cup against Columbia and the program's fourth-straight Bill Cup against Dartmouth ... Lost the Arlett Cup by 0.6 seconds to Northeastern ... Sat three-seat to help BU's top four boat finish second at the Princeton Chase ... Sat seven-seat at the Head of the Charles on the Championship Eight boat.
AS A JUNIOR IN 2007-08
Took the year off to train to make the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games ... Made the Dutch eight that qualified for Beijing ... Sat in the bow seat ... Placed fourth overall, missing out on a bronze by four seconds.
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2006-07
Won the 'B' final in the 2x at the 2007 U-23 World Rowing Championships ... Placed 10th in the quad in the '07 Rowing World Cup ... Sat five-seat in the Championship Eight at the 2006 Head of the Charles ... Rowed four-seat in the varsity eight that claimed the Arlett Cup ... Remained in the four as the varsity defended the Bill Cup ... Rowed three-seat in the varsity eight that placed second in its Petite Final at the Sprints ... Sat three-seat of the varsity eight at the 2007 IRAs.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2005-06
Placed fifth in the world in the 2006 U-23 World Championships in the Senior 'B' Men's Single Sculls ... Seven-seat of the freshman eight that placed ninth at 2006 Eastern Sprints and IRAs.
