Biography

Stephen Vitale has joined the Boston University coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach for the 2015-16 season.

Vitale enjoyed a terrific career as a sprinter at BU. He was part of a 4x400m relay team that turned in a time of 3:08.85 at the 2012 Penn Relays, a school standard that still stands today. Vitale qualified for the 2012 NCAA East prelims in both the 400m hurdles and as part of a 4x400m relay team. In his most recent outdoor season in 2014, Vitale took third in the 400m hurdles at the Patriot League Championship and was a Patriot League Male Track Athlete of the Week honoree.

In addition to his success on the track, Vitale also shined in the classroom. He graduated cum laude from Sargent College in 2014 and also received a Scarlet Key in 2014 in honor of his service to the BU community.
