Men's Results

WILLISTON, Vt. - The Boston University men's cross country team placed a finisher in the top ten at the America East Championships finishing sixth on Saturday in Vermont.

Binghamton captured the men's title with 30 total points, followed by New Hampshire (60), Stony Brook (95), Albany (119) and Vermont (129). BU finished with 142 total points, and finished ahead of Maine (158), UMBC (196) and Hartford (256).

The Binghamton win ended a streak of three-straight conference titles for New Hampshire.

Eric Ashe once again paced the Terriers, crossing the line in ninth place with a time of 25:58.60 on the 8k course. Sophomore Peter Gilmore turned in a strong performance for the Terriers with a time of 26:19.50, good for 15th overall.

Senior David Polgar finished in 28th-place, traversing the course in 26:57.10 and was followed by junior Ken Haltom (27:32.00) and freshman Terrence Galasso (27:33.50) in 50th and 51st place, respectively.

BU is back in action at the NCAA Northeast Regional meet on Saturday, November 14 at its home course of Franklin Park.
