Jon Sherman joined the Boston University men’s ice hockey program in July 2021 as the program’s video coach.

Sherman is a graduate student in the Questrom School of Business who recently finished a two-year stint as a coaching staff assistant with the Washington Capitals. While with the Capitals, Sherman provided support to the coaching staff through video breakdowns and data tracking. Sherman also spent time with the Arizona Coyotes earlier this year, assisting in their hockey analytics department.

At the college level, Sherman worked as a volunteer video and analytics analyst with Dartmouth this past season. Sherman was also a hockey operations assistant with the Waterloo Black Hawks of the USHL.

Sherman graduated from Indiana University in 2017 and served as a student volunteer coach for the Hoosiers' ACHA program. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree in business analytics.
