Charmaine Steele Jordan enters her seventh season as an assistant coach for the women's basketball team. Jordan, a two-year captain at Quinnipiac University, works primarily with the forwards.

In the winter of 2007, Jordan was invited by the NCAA to attend the Women's Coaches Academy in Denver, Colo., where coaches from across the country gather to discuss coaching techniques and perspectives.

As a student-athlete at Quinnipiac, Jordan saw action in 106 games in her career, finishing with 228 rebounds and 282 points. As the commissioner for Quinnipiac's high school division I camp from 2000-06, Jordan's responsibilities included overseeing the staff, maintaining the daily schedule, running basketball drills, coaching and refereeing. Along with her day-to-day responsibilities, Jordan also worked with the participants in developing their individual potential.

In addition, Jordan worked at ESPN as a WNBA remote production assistant, where her responsibilities included logging tapes from games and interviews, as well as compiling background information.She also put together highlights for on-air packages.

"Charmaine's work ethic and energy gives our players a great mentor to assist them in achieving their goals," said Greenberg.

A native of Stoughton, Mass., Jordan received her bachelor of science in mass communication from Quinnipiac in 2005, before earning a master's in journalism in 2006.
