Mychiah joined Madeline Davis' staff as a volunteer assistant coach in 2020. She began rowing at River City Rowing Club in her sophomore year of high school and graduated from Davis Senior High in California in 2015 after a rowing career that included a fifth-place finish at Youth Nationals in the 4+. Mychiah continued on to Boston University where she spent three years as a rower and one as a student coach, graduating in 2019 with a degree in biology.
In addition to her coaching at BU, Mychiah is the head coach at Row Boston, a competitive team for high school and middle school students in the Boston Public Schools. She lives in Boston with her dog Kodi who frequents the team’s Instagram.
