Liz Driscoll enters her seventh season at BU, and was promoted to associate head coach in May 2011. Driscoll's duties include assisting with team and individual coaching on the field and serving as the general recruiting coordinator, along with video editing responsibilities and contributing to community outreach projects and camp programming.
Driscoll spent seven years (1999-05) as the head coach for Wellesley, where she compiled an overall record of 63-35-11. In 1999, her first season with the Blue, Wellesley went 17-2-1, captured the New England Men's and Women's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) title and advanced to the round of 16 of the NCAA tournament. The 17 wins were a school record and Driscoll was named NEWMAC Coach of the Year for her efforts.
While at Wellesley, Driscoll was an assistant professor in physical education, teaching badminton, strength training and running. She was also the coach of the Region I ODP team in Massachusetts from 2001-03.
Prior to her stint with the Blue, Driscoll was the head coach at Lock Haven (Pa.) University in 1998, where the Lady Eagles went 11-7-2, including 7-1-2 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. She was an assistant at Lock Haven in 1997 (13-5-2, 8-1-1 PSAC) and a graduate assistant for the Lady Eagles in 1996. Driscoll began her coaching career as an assistant at Wellesley in 1995.
Driscoll played her college soccer at Franklin Pierce College, where she was a four-year letter winner for the Ravens. She helped Franklin Pierce to three appearances in the NCAA Division II semifinals and in 1994 the Ravens won the national championship, with Driscoll playing midfield/forward. She ended her career with 35 goals, which was a school record at the time, and 87 points, which was second all-time when she graduated.
A native of Essex County, England, a suburb of London, Driscoll was a member of the British Regional Under-18 team. She graduated from Franklin Pierce in 1995 with a degree in recreational management. She received her master's degree in liberal arts from Lock Haven in 1999. Driscoll married Johan Kullstam in 2008.
