Leo Paré, who has worked in the Boston University Department of Athletics since August 2005, was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Community Engagement and Video Production in July 2024.

Paré oversees the department’s marketing and community engagement efforts, as well as video broadcasts and digital content. In this role, Paré is focused on building the BU Athletics brand online and in the community, as well as growing attendance at games. 

In 2007, Paré launched the video department and built it into a model program coinciding with BU Athletics move to the Patriot League in 2013. Each year Paré produces more than 150 live broadcasts on network partner platforms, including ESPN and NESN. In addition to broadcasts, Paré leads all department production for digital media and video content creation for all 24 varsity teams.

In addition to work in the department, Paré also serves an advisor for the BU Sports Management Club.

Paré earned a Master of Science in advertising from BU's College of Communication in 2013. Before that he received a Bachelor of Science in sport management and a minor in computer science from Endicott College in 2005.

A native of Dracut, Mass., he currently resides in Westborough with his wife, Laurie, and sons, Leo and Jaxon.
