After batting an impressive .636 to help lead the softball team to four victories, senior Alex Heinen has been named the GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.

Heinen started off with a pair of RBIs in a 4-1 win over Rhode Island. The catcher was then named Turnpike Trophy MVP for her efforts in the three-game sweep against Holy Cross. She first had a two-run homer in the 7-1 game-one victory to tie the program record for all-time RBIs at 140 and then went 3-of-3 in the 3-0 game-two victory with a triple. She finally went 2-of-3 and helped turn a critical double play with bases loaded to help BU complete the sweep, 2-0, in eight innings.
