Highlighted by three boats placing in the top three in the heavyweight eight and coxed fours races, Boston University men's crew had a successful outing at the Princeton Chase on Sunday, Oct. 29. BU's "A" eight placed third in the heavyweight eight, and the "A" and "B" coxed fours placed two-three in that race.
The Terriers were very narrowly beaten out for the top spot in the coxed fours race by 0.007 seconds. Princeton's "B" boat finished first in 14:44.792 to BU's "A" time of 14:44.799. The Terriers' "B" boat placed third, in 14:54.24. Boston University also had three more coxed fours racing - the "C" boat placed 19th in 15:40.27, the "D" boat finished 30th (16:15.06) and the "E" boat crossed the line 34th (16:45.95).
In the eight, the varsity "A" boat came in behind Princeton and Yale in 13:24.20. BU's "B" boat finished 24th (14:02.39) and the "C" eight placed 39th (14:43.52).
