Men's Tennis Falls 7-0 To Boston College

February 9, 2007

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Unable to adjust to the fast courts at Boston College, the Boston University men's tennis team (1-3) lost to the Eagles, 7-0, on Friday afternoon.

Following narrow defeats in second and third doubles, the Terriers
could not find a rhythm in singles play.  Senior co-captain Ross Lohr
played well for BU but lost in the sixth singles slot, 6-0, 6-4. One of the best efforts of the day came from junior co-captain Jared Kobren, who battled hard but lost in second singles to Jason Sechrist, 6-3, 6-2.

"It was difficult to play because the courts couldn't have been more different than ours," coach Rocky Jarvis said.  "But I think this can be a learning experience and it will help us on the hard courts in the future."

The Terriers will take on Monmouth on Sunday, Feb. 11, at the Track and Tennis Center.
