PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Boston University wrestling team dropped a 23-12 decision on the road against New England rival Brown on Friday afternoon. Junior Mike Roberts (149), sophomores A.J. Detwiler (165) and C.J. Inglin (174), and freshman John Hall (197) all earned wins for the Terriers, who move to 6-7-1 on the year.

Aided by the Terriers' forfeit at 125, Brown took a 12-0 lead through three matches, capped by a tight 7-5 victory at 141 by Mark Savino over BU senior Joey Whitaker in the second sudden victory period.

Roberts followed with a 7-3 win over Mark Bloom, but the Bears used a major decision at 157 to take what would be their biggest lead of the day at 16-3.

Detwiler and Inglin provided back-to-back wins for the Terriers with 8-3 and 3-1 decisions, respectively, to get BU within seven points at 16-9.

Brown, however, won two of the final three matches to seal the victory.

Hall picked up BU's fourth and final victory of the day with a 7-3 decision over Leo Saniuk, stretching his win streak to six matches.

The Terriers will return to action on Sunday, Feb. 17, when they visit East Stroudsburg for a 1 p.m. dual.
