For the third consecutive year, Boston University men's crew hoisted the Bill Cup, defeating Rutgers and Dartmouth on Saturday, April 19. Three other Terrier boats won their races to complement the varsity's victory.
The varsity eight earned the trophy for the 13th time in the cup's history as the Terriers crossed the finish line in 5:55.8, nearly seven seconds ahead of Rutgers (6:02.3) and 11 seconds in front of Dartmouth (6:06.8).
The second varsity defeated Dartmouth by 13 seconds, while both 2V/3V 4+ boats finished ahead of Rutgers and the 2F "A" coxed four claimed a 10-second win over Dartmouth. The BU freshman eight placed second in its race.
BU returns to the water next weekend, vying for the Lusins and Conlan cups with Columbia and Syracuse on Saturday, April 26 in Liverpool, N.Y.
